I will create a website that will provide a memorable experience for your customers with an eye-catching design and user-friendly layout.
Hello, my name is Blair Forsberg.
I have recently graduated from college with a Associates of applied science in Web Design and Development. Through this last year, I have worked as a freelance website and graphic designer. I am fortunate to have worked with a wide variety of clientele, who have helped me to hone my communication skills around web development and graphic design.
Previous Projects
Preschool Website
I was contracted to build a website for Early Childhood Education Management Services (ECEMS). ECEMS has three preschool locations in the Milwaukie, OR. and Clackamas, OR. areas, and they were having difficulty relaying information to the parents of their preschoolers.
I built them a website that would easily display all the information that any parent might need, such as supply lists, class calendars and the monthly newsletter. I also included a digital copy of the school manual and the forms parents would need to fill out, which not only let the parents access school information easier, but also saved ECEMS a significant amount of money because they no longer needed to print paper forms or multiple copies of their 30-page school manual.
ECEMS is very pleased with their website because it is cost-efficient and simplifies their workflow.
Online School Website
When I was in college, I had a writing teacher who struggled to use the school's online classroom. This teacher knew exactly how she wanted to teach her class and how she wanted the term to flow, but she couldn't translate her curriculum onto the college's online platform. She had all of her class materials prepared but couldn't navigate the online system to make it easy for her students to locate the material. If her students needed to submit their papers through the online classroom, she would receive dozens of emails from frustrated students who couldn't find the digital dropbox, and this created more work for her.
At the end of the term. I offered to build her a custom website to remedy the online classroom problem she had been experiencing for multiple terms. She explained to me exactly how wanted her website to be organized, and since she didn't have a specific design theme in mind, I suggested designing the entire website look like paper inside of folders on a desk. She loved the theme. to view a sample of this website Click Here
Intern at Clackamas County
I had the great opportunity to intern at Clackamas County Technology Services Department with the web team, assisting with the development of the new Clackamas County website. My assignments for the new county website included replicating the existing forms and webpages from the current website on the new website.
During the build of the new website, I also worked on updating or retrofitting pages on the current website. Below are some links to pages I improved for Clackamas County.
